The characters in the books are the bear, mouse, hare, badger, raven, wren,
gopher and mole.
The setting is the forest and pond.
The major events are the bear eating throughout the forest, grass at den,
strawberry vale, clovers, pond.

Practiced all week.

Formative assessment of asking students to name 1 character, a setting and 1


major event.

Some students will have pictures, some will have props, others will be verbally
asked to retell or give answers.

If students do not know an answer, they will be asked to ask their friends for help.
