1. Bulk charge
Battery voltage has not yet reached boost voltage and 100% of available solar power is used
to charge the battery.
2. Boost charge
Constant-current regulation is used to prevent heating. The Boost stage remains 120
minutes and then goes to Float Charge.
3. Float charge
The controller reduces the battery voltage to Float charge set point. When the battery is
fully charged, the controller reduces the voltage and charging with smaller voltage and
current. Purpose of float charge is to offset the power consumption while maintaining full
battery storage capacity.
4. Equalize charge
Equalize charge increases the battery voltage, higher than standard voltage. If overdischarged, the controller will automatically turn to equalize charging state and remain 120
min.

PROTECTION, TROUBLESHOOTING AND MAINTENANCE

1. NOTES: Check that generator is securely safe, clean and dry before using it.
2. WARNING: Dangerous with electric shock! Do not use the generator near to wet
areas.
3. WARNING: Risk of explosion. Never short circuit battery positive (+) and negative (-)
or cables.
4. WARNING: Risk of electric shock. The solar module(s) high voltage may cause severe
shock and injury.
5. NOTE: Equipment damage! Overcharging may damage the battery. Please read
carefully review the specific requirements of the battery used in the system.
6. CAUTION: For the output devices, be sure to secure all wiring to prevent excessive
heating or fire.

WARRANTY
The Solar Alternatives is warranted to be free from defects for a period of ONE (1) year from
the date of shipment to the original end user. We will, at its option, repair or replace any
such defective products.
Claim procedure:
Before requesting warranty service, check the Manual Instructions to be certain that there is
a problem with portable solar generator. Please provide proof of date and place of
purchase. This information is critical to a rapid disposition of your warranty claim.
This warranty does not apply under the following conditions:

Damage by accident, negligence, abuse or improper use.

PV or load current exceeding the ratings of product.
Unauthorized product modification or attempted to repair.
Damaged occuring during shipment
Damage results from acts of nature such as lightning, weather extremes or natural
disasters.
