concrete overlay on IH-10, El Paso, and guide for expedited bonded
concrete overlay design and construction. Austin.

This report documents the valuable information collected during the
construction of the bonded concrete overlay on IH-10 in El Paso. Although this project
did not proceed as on expedited overlay, it was planned and researched as such.
Unfortunately, a combination of factors led to delamination in some areas of the
overlay. This report identifies the causes of these delaminations that occurred during
this construction and makes recommendations for future overlay construction. Project
selection, design, construction, and quality control are addressed in an included
guide for expedited bonded concrete overlays. Also addressed is the scheduling of
the construction in such a way as to avoid marginal or severe environmental
conditions. The methods presented in this report may be used to construct bonded
concrete overlays that can be opened to traffic 12 to 24 hours after concrete
placement.

West El Paso. Abc7ElPaso.
http://www.kvia.com/news/Construction-overlap-could-create-headaches-for-I-10In this article, I found it was related to my topic dealing with traffic due to
construction. It has been a head ache waiting and dealing with angry drivers.
Examples, are the Border Expressway West, an extension of Loop 375, and the I-10
Collector-Distributor Lane Project will be changing how you travel on the road from
downtown along the Westside.Valtier said the projects will be going at the same time
over much of the next three years, and organized by two different offices. The article
is also very helpful on my topic because it gives a video about the construction
projects being done and how long they should be. Learning how the projects will work
together and how it can tie things up with years to come. But the outcome should be
helpful overall after the construction is done.

Construction expansion project formerly known as the I-10 CollectorDistributor Lanes Project Is said to be done in 2019.Texas Department of
Transportation District Engineer Robert "Bob" Bielek says, "Part of the issue is that
the I-10 Collector Distributor Road Project is a mouthful for everyone." Once the
projects are completed, motorists will be able to weave in and out of 1-10 and the
collector-distributor lanes with ease since both of them will have similar speed limits.
The project improvements for "Go 10" include upgrading the connection with Paisano
Drive and the Border West Expressway.

In this article it gives much information about El Paso having several
construction projects underway in the health-care sector, including work that began
in 2015 on a $29 million research and technology plaza, the Cardwell Collaborative
Building, that will house the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation, Texas Tech
University Health Sciences Center El Paso, and the biomedical institute RedSky. Texas
Tech officials also announced that a Medical Science Building II will be added to the
universitys Paul L. Foster School of Medicine campus, with construction slated for
2016.

El Paso is on the GO I- 10 is an infrastructure reconstruction of Interstate 10
on El Pasos west side. The project extends 5.75 miles and has four major
components: construction of collector-distributor lanes through the corridor,
improvement of I-10s direct connection with Paisano Drive/Border West Expressway,
addition of lanes to I-10 in both directions and reconfiguration of ramps and
overpasses at three exits. Collector-distributor lanes disburse traffic, making it easier
for motorists to merge on to the interstate.
The GO 10 project supports Sundts efforts to expand and grow in Texas, strengthens
our local presence in El Paso and helps build our base of skilled craft workers, said
Sundt Business Development Manager Cade Rowley. GO 10 is the largest design-bidbuild project that the Texas Department of Transportations El Paso District has
performed to date. Its one of our companys six current TxDOT projects. The
$158 heavy civil project is scheduled for completion in summer 2019. In this blog
gives plenty of information about delays going on, on I-10.
