1. What was operation paper clip?
Operation Paperclip was a classified operation that the US brought over Nazi scientists since
Germany did advance in certain technologies, where they promise to provide jobs, health services,
etc.
2. Write a 1 paragraph reflection on whether you feel the program was a good idea, or if the
Nazis should have been put on trial instead.
It is justifiable that the US would utilize the past innovation that the Nazis have created to
promote investigate more fields of innovation to grow better weapons and help over the
long haul. Regardless of the past activities that Nazis did, it was sensible for the US to
utilize the Nazi's advances to profit by them.

3. Who was Eichmann? What did he do and where did he go after WWII? What happened to
him after he was tried?
Eichmann was an official of the German SS and helped with the deportation of an
estimation of over 1.5 million Jews from all over Europe to killing centers that were
stationed in Poland and in the Soviet Union.

4. What was the purpose of the trials?
The purpose of the trials was to prosecute those involved in the Nazi war party to justice.
5. In the Major War Criminals Trial, what were the verdicts of the defendants?
The verdicts extended from execution from hanging or jail sentences from 10 years to life in a
correctional facility. A few offenders conferred suicide before being executed.What is the
legacy of the Nuremberg Trials? Why are they historically significant?
The legacy was it helped established international laws to prosecuting war criminals or crimes
against humanity that could possibly pertain to genocide, terrorism, etc.
