T followed a guide from the original teacher
T read first and SS answered in short e.g. polite vs. impolite
T corrected the wrong answer and then gave an explanation
T gave specific example to help ss understand the cultural valueeg mistakenly being rude because of different cultures.
T read a dialogT did A, the whole SS did B.
T did the same thing, but this time he did it with one on one.
T apologies that he does not know ss name
T did one on one interview in the same form, but the contents were little bit different for every SS
T listened to SS and showed body gestures that he is listening to them and also gave positive
statements like great, I think thats excellent!
T asked the same question but different way. e.g. How do you think about the Curtis behavior?
Could you give me an example polite behavior?

What did you learn about teaching or learning from this lesson? Discuss your observation focus, and the theory you have studied in your TESOL classes. Consider the three
levels of teacher reflection (surface, pedagogical, critical). (100-300 words)
I focused on the classroom management for this observation report. T utilized one on one
interview type activity instead of using a pair or small group classroom management. As
far as I observed, pair or small group works were more common in IEP classes, so I was
somewhat surprised to see this T using this method. However, the class was pretty small,
and since it was the listening and speaking class, his approach worked effectively. Individual T to S interaction gave fair amounts of SS talking time for each SS while a pair or
small group speaking exercises might hinder some SS talking.

What activities/techniques from this class do you want to remember for your own
teaching practice? Discuss your future teaching environment and your students needs/
goals. Discuss specific ways in which you could adapt and apply the techniques and
methods you saw. (100-300 words)
