COURSEDESCRIPTION
Candidatesinthiscoursewillexaminethedomainsofleadershipanditsapplicationtotheschool
setting.Eachstudentwilldevelopaneducationalphilosophy,reexamineavisionandmission,
deliberatevariouscasestudies,andapplythestandardsanddimensionsofleadershipoutlinedby
AlbertaEducation.Thecourseoffersanopportunityforcandidatestobuildonthereflective
processestheyengagedinECC509,whichallowedthemtoappreciatehowleadershipmanifests
ineducationalsettings.

educationalleadership.Writtenworkwillbeassessednotonlyonrelevancetothesubject
presented,butalsoonadherencetogoodwrittenformandprofessionalpresentation.
ProfessionalWriting
FollowtheAPAstyleguideforwrittenwork,unlessspecifieddifferentlybytheinstructor,
includingcreditingauthors,usingunbiasedlanguage,anddetailsofAPAstyle.Assignments
requireStandardEnglishconventionsandlogicalflowoforganizationtoaddresstopicsclearly,
completely,andconcisely.
Wordprocessandproofreadyourwork.Westronglyrecommendthatyouhaveassignments
reviewedbyacompetentwriterforqualityofcontent,clarityofexpression,correctnessof
