Biological Weapons
War itself is horrible and deadly, but things such as the use of biological agents make war
into a more harmful game. Wars can leave countries and cultures cripples for years, maybe even
generations. There are rules to war, and everyone knows that some actions may cross the line of
whats right and whats wrong. Even in the midst of a war, people must stay human, and think of
the future. War involves lives, and many can be lost. Biological warfare is very harmful, and is
morally wrong in the eyes of many people. Many people think biological agents are very
effective and win wars quickly(Connect US). The truth is, the use of biological weapons causes
more damage than people know, and shouldnt be used at all.
.
One reason why biological weapons shouldnt be used is the fact that they can cause
uncontrollable collateral damage. Biological agents arent precise all the time. Things like
viruses and toxins are very popular bio-weapons. Viruses and toxins spread very easily and can
contaminate more people than are targeted. This can result in civilians being contaminated by
agents that were meant for military persons. This takes more lives and effects more people than
expected. Although biological weapons may be effective towards the enemy, innocent civilians
can still be harmed.

Another reason why bio-weapons shouldnt be used is how easily they can be obtained.
Making and buying biological weapons is easy and cheap. Biological agents are abundant, and
can get into the wrong hands. This can allow people like terrorists to obtain bio-weapons.in
2001, terrorists gained access to anthrax and attacked America using the harmful agent, killing
over 20 people(Stebbins). This shows how dangerously easy it is for terrorists groups to carry out
their plans when biological weapons are so easy to obtain.

One final reason biological weapons should not be used is their ease of production.
Biological weapons are not only cheap to make, but very easy to produce. This allows for many

people or countries to have them. With weapons like these being so easy to make, they are bound
to get out of hand. They need to be kept under control and discarded before they can do damage.
Whether its a terrorist organization or an army, biological weapons are deadly and should not be
so easy to make.

In conclusion, biological weapons are very deadly and inhumane. They can spread
beyond their projected targets and kill innocent people. They are also very cheap and easy to
make. These conditions make biological agents into a very extreme threat to everyone. Militaries
and radicals should not have access to weapons like these at all. They are a danger to all
humanity, and something needs to be done about them.
