Fault code

Open circuit or short circuit to voltage (high voltage side).

Also sets PPID97 FMI14.

Short circuit to voltage (low voltage side).

Also sets PPID97 FMI14.

Conditions for fault code:

Short circuit to voltage (low voltage side).
Possible cause:
Short circuit to battery voltage in the component or
wiring.
Reaction from engine control unit:
Fault code is set.
Yellow lamp requested.
Noticeable external symptoms:
Yellow lamp lights.
The over-pressure valve is open.
Power reduction.
Appropriate action:
MID 128 SID 42 Fuel control unit, check page 3

FMI 4
Short circuit to ground (high voltage side).
Also sets PPID97 FMI14.

Conditions for fault code:

Short circuit to ground (high voltage side).
Possible cause:
Short circuit to ground in the component or wiring.
Reaction from engine control unit:

NOTE!

Active/inactive fault code

Certain fault codes become inactive when the engine is
shut off. Start the engine to see if the fault code is still
inactive or becomes active when the engine is running.
Connector block
Always check that there is no oxidisation and that the
pins in the connector are not damaged. Also check the
grip of the pins. For more information, refer to Function
Group 3710, Information type Diagnostics, 37102-3
Electric wires and connections, check.
If the connector is free from faults, reconnect it.
Check if the fault code is still active. If the fault code
is still active, continue fault tracing according to
the instructions.
After any corrective actions on the connector block
Refit the connector. Check if the fault code has
become inactive.
If the fault code is still active, continue fault tracing
according to the instructions.

Measurements
Note: If any of the following cable measurement values
are faulty, they may have caused the component to be
damaged. Check also if any of the components values
are faulty.
