Learning Profile Reflection Paper
In VTFT, Virginia Teacher For Tomorrow we learned the different types of personalities
and learning styles that a person may have. The first test we took was the Multiple Intelligence
quiz, which testes how someone thinks, reacts, and solves a situation. On the quiz, there were 8
sections with statements that we had to rate 1, 2, or 3. The sections were Verbal/Linguistic,
Logical/Mathematical, Visual/Spatial, Interpersonal, Musical, Naturalistic, Body/Kinesthetic,
and Intrapersonal. My top 3of the Multiple Intelligence Graph were Intrapersonal, Visual/Spatial,
and Interpersonal. The next assessment we took was the Learning Style Assessment. This
assessment gave us a better understanding how someone learns. There was three sections and we
had to rate each statement within the section 1, 2, or 3. The sections represented Visual learning
for section 1, Auditory Learning for section 2, and lastly, Kinesthetic learning for section 3. I
scored 22 for Visual, 20 for Auditory, and 22 for Kinesthetic. Additionally, we took the MyersBriggs Personality test. This test acknowledges your characteristics strengths and gives you an
idea of what kind of person you are. The four letters that I scored was ESTJ which stands for
extroverted, sensing, thinking, and judging. The acronym could be best classified as the
Supervisor of the guardians. The last test we took is the right brain versus the left brain test. On
the test there were two columns that stated statements about left brain and on the other it was

relatable to the right brain. During this assessment I related more to the right side of the brain
which is global as to the left brain is analytical.
These four assessments we took taught a lot about me. All four assessments were helpful
and enhanced my personality and characteristics. The test that I think was most accurate to my
personality was the Myers-Briggs personality test. I believe that this test was most accurate to
my personality because I do see myself as a supervisor; furthermore, with cheerleading. I enjoy
helping and monitoring every detail in our routine, so we can be the best. The Meyers-Briggs test
confirmed how detailed oriented I am. I already knew that I paid attention to every detail. For
example, I know when my mother goes in my room while Im at school because she always
leaves something out of place. If I had the opportunity to introduce my learning style to a teacher
I would use the Learning Style test. My Learning Style test results will help the teacher; help me
be successful in the classroom.
These four assessments all had something in common which is learning. Everyone learns
differently because nobody is the same. We all have different minds with different personality.
The main question I will answer is: How will these assessments connect to education? It is
extremely important for teachers top understand the different learning styles and intelligences.
Its important for teachers to understand this so they can handle different personalities and have
different styles of teaching. For instance, teachers should apply the three learning styles visual,
auditory, and kinesthetic for every unit so every student has the opportunity to fully understand
every concept within the subject. Teachers can accommodate all styles of learning by PowerPoint
using pictures for the visual appeal, a short lecture on the subject for the auditory learners, and
lastly, a hand on activity for the kinesthetic learners. By teachers doing this they are appealing to
all learning types which will benefit every student in their class. If I was a teacher I would give

my students the Learning Styles Assessment so that my students will know what is best fit for
their learning. As a teacher we want the absolute best for our students and by allowing the
students to know their best learning style will grant future success for the students.
