Halloween candy
Last Halloween, Victoria ,a 19 year old teenage girl from Texas, was waiting
at her front door, giving out halloween candy to trick-or-treaters all evening.
She was home alone, some children came at the door by themselves, others
were accompanied by parents. When they held out their
bags, Victoria happily dropped the sweets and treats inside.
About 15 people had only arrived at her door during the
whole evening. As it grew dark, things started to die down.
When it seemed like nobody else was going to come, she
decided to call it a night.
When she was just about to turn to her porch light off,
go to bed and watch a movie in her laptop, there was a knock at her door. It
seemed much too late for children to still be out, but she grabbed a handful
of candy and decided to open the door anyway.
There were two children standing on the porch, but they werent
wearing costumes. They were the strangest children she had ever seen in
her life. Their skin was waxy and ghostly white. Their eyes were completely
black. Their teeth were jagged and too big to fit in their mouths. But their
clothes were just plain ordinary shirts and pants.
Confused, she asked them; What are you supposed to be? Some kind
of monsters?
No, said the children as they were smiling and their mouths were dripping
blood. Tonight were dressed as humans.
Scared, Victoria slammed the door and locked it tight. Through the
peephole, she could see the kids standing outside the door, motionless.
Then, the kids started to hit the door and telling her to let them in. She was
too scared to do anything, so she closed her eyes and covered her ears. The
door seemed like it was about to collapse, but suddenly everything stopped.
She stood up and looked out through the peephole again, but no one was
there.
