Vocabulary types of people


o Nouns: a flirt, a joker, a liar, a bully, a bore, a loner, a geek, a romantic, an eccentric
o Verbs: to flirt, to joke, to lie, to bully, to bore
o Adjectives:
Appearance: good-looking/handsome/beautiful, tall/short, sophisticated
Personality: brilliant, jealous, eccentric, extravert/shy, sporty, two-faced/honest

Grammar LIKE
I LOVE / LIKE / DONT MIND / PREFER / HATE + V + ing
To express which activities we like / dont like doing.
Grammar WOULD LIKE
I D / WOULD + LOVE / LIKE / PREFER / HATE + to + V
To express in a polite way something we wish / want.
Grammar using TOO / SO / SUCH
TOO + ADJ gives emphasis with a negative meaning (shes too eccentric for me)
SO + ADJ gives emphasis to adjectives (that story is so beautiful!)
SUCH A/AN + N gives emphasis to singular nouns (dont be such a bighead!)
SUCH + N gives emphasis to plural nouns (theyre such liars!)

to finish with SB, to ask SB out, to fall in love with SB, to cheat on SB...
CONDITIONAL SENTENCES:
IF Condition, Result or Result IF Condition
o Zero Conditional:
If + PRESENT SIMPLE, PRESENT SIMPLE
If you put water at 0 C, it freezes.
o First Conditional:
If + PRESENT SIMPLE, FUTURE SIMPLE (S+ will + V)
If I see you again, I will / wont give you this.
o Second Conditional:
If + PAST SIMPLE*, CONDITIONAL SIMPLE (S+ would + V)
If she didnt have a boyfriend, I would go out with her.
*If + TO BE: usually IF + S + WERE (WAS accepted colloquially / orally)
If I were you, I wouldnt do that.
UNLESS = IF NOT (negative condition; a menos que)
