Style A = Autocratic Leadership Style
Style B = Bureaucratic Leadership Style
Style C = Democratic Leadership Style
Style D = Laissez Faire Leadership Style
Style E = Paternalistic Leadership Style
For the first test, I scored higher in paternalistic leadership. A paternalistic leadership is
when an authority treats their employees or group members as I though they are a part of a
large family. In return, the authority figure expects loyalty, trust, and obedience. I agree with this
leadership style. I have a tendency to take some charge in a group project, however, I do ask for
my group for their perspective on the choices made. I want people in the group to feel included
and just as important as anyone else. In a majority of projects, Im most likely the one who
assigns parts to people, but I make sure its an equal amount of work and no one is doing more
or less.
For my second test, I scored higher in laissez faire leadership. A laissez faire leadership is
like a democracy; everyone in the group makes decisions. It is similar to the paternalistic
leadership. The only difference that I can seem to find is that in a laissez faire leadership, the
leader is less controlling and the group is more independent. Again, I agree with this leadership
style. I dont try to take control or be in charge, but some people seek my advice and I am willing
to share it with them; although I do trust them enough to make their own independent decisions.
