FILM ISU Semester 2 2015-2016

For the film course, you have three options for the final assignment.
To create a Sweded Film Trailer, which will involve choosing a trailer, blocking out the clips,

planning the necessary backdrops, props, sets, sounds, and voiceovers.


A film issue study, where you investigate and present information on one of the following: (i) race

representation in film; (ii) gender representation in film; (iii) sexual content in film or (iv) violence in film.
The presentation can take the form of a bulletin board, a comic, a video, a podcast, prezi, or powerpoint,
and should address the following questions with supporting evidence: (a) what is the background to the
issue? (b) what are the main positions take about the issue, and why? (c) what changes have there been
since this first was raised as an issue?
Developing a 2.5 minute original/semi-original science fiction film with 5 thirty second scenes. You

will be expected to complete a script and storyboards for all five scenes, film at least two of the scenes,
and include appropriate sound effects, music, and dialogue.
All final assignments will be presented and due on Monday, June 20th.
