"United we stand divided we fall" is the motto that the interpretation to be

practiced by mankind for the sake of achieving prosperity. Motto urged the whole
society to unite and work together to do a job or solve a problem so that they can live in
a prosperous, strong, and harmony. On the other hand, if we fragmented, and selfish,
we will have chaos. In the Malaysian context, comprising people of various races, we
must live up to this maxim to live in unity regardless of race, religion, and customs. To
achieve the progress of the country, people should live in peace and quiet.
The spirit of unity can be sown and nurtured among neighbors through
neighborliness, especially in urban areas say that the spirit of the neighborhood is
fading. We who live in urban areas are often far away from family and kin. So,
neighbors who are our closest relatives. Through such relationships, social problems
such as theft and robbery can be reduced. "Neighbors agree blessing" can also be
observed through the atmosphere of friendship, mutual help and mutual welfare of their
fellow man. The spirit of mutual cooperation, namely by working together will also
strengthen social relations between members of society and thus can produce a feeling
of belonging and national consciousness.
In addition, the presence of communal work, time, effort, and expense of the
individual, society, and the state can be saved. It also means, of a heavy work will be
light when done together, as the saying goes "heavy hands make light work". In
administration, whether in the private sector or the government sector, the spirit of unity
among experienced workers should also be fostered. If the spirit is neglected, then the
organization would not be developed. This happens because there is no cooperation
between all parties to promote the organization. If only certain working parties worked
very hard, while the other does not give the commitment, then success will not be
achieved.
At the national level, there is no doubt about the importance of the spirit of unity.
Mission and vision planned by the government to develop the country not only requires
the cooperation of all the people, but the government and the people must unite and
work together to make it happen. The government's efforts to improve the well-being of
society will not become a reality, if there is no positive response from the people. If a
few of us responded, the campaigns and government programs such as zero inflation,
love the environment, culture, reading, and others will fail. Furthermore, the country is
now experiencing economic problems. Therefore, people must come together to help
remedy the situation so as not to worsen. The people and the government cannot be
selfish because of the problems plaguing the country felt together.
As a result, we can say that the saying "united we stand tall" extremely important
as a tool to achieve success. If society fragmented and scattered, is undoubtedly the
country's various problems will arise such as crime, unemployment, poverty, race riots,
and others. Indeed, unstable social conditions that would impede the government's
efforts to develop the country. Therefore, let us adheres to the adage "united we stand
tall" for the happiness of us all.
