Majority

the

principals

headed

their

schools

through delegative leadership style.


The PE teachers perceived themselves as skilled and
competent enough to teach the concepts of the subject and
to train the students with the necessary skills that must
be adhered to the physical, psychological, physiological
attributes of the students performance as mandated in
the K-12 curriculum.

They communicated in a way that

their students understood better. Their mode of delivery


was anchored to actions more when they were engaged in
physical activities and concretized a perception that
they

and implementation of the lessons to address the unique
learning needs of the learners.

There was no significant relationship between the
type of leadership and the planning and implementation
competency.

The

leadership

styles

of

the

school

principals were not related to the overall performance of


the PE teachers.
The

researcher

concluded

that

the

principals

practiced the delegative leadership styles. Teachers had


very satisfactory performance. There was no significant
relationship between leadership styles of principals and
the competencies of teachers along different standards
