Summary

Description

Support Compression of
Agentry Export Files

A new preference has been added to the Agentry

Editor plug-in that supports the compression of
Agentry Export files. If this preference is selected,
the export file created is compressed to save on
space and resources required for archiving and
transporting the file. Uncompressed export files are
still supported, both when creating a new export
and importing an uncompressed export. This is a
preference setting and is not required. When a
compressed export file is created, it is given the file
extension of .agxz. Uncompressed export files still
use the extension .agx.

Search by Tag Provide

AND and OR Search

Tagging definitions is a feature that allows

definitions within an application project to be tagged
for the purposes of grouping by feature and
functionality, as well as Team Configuration
support. Developers can search definitions within a
project by tag. In this release, the ability to search
these tags supports both AND and OR logic, based
on the developers selection.

Target Path for all Nested

Collection Instances

When selecting a collection within the Agentry

Editor via a target path, it is now possible to select
all child collection properties of all instances a given
object type using a single target path. For example,
if object A contains a collection of object B, the
developer can now select a target path to perform
an operation on all collections of B in all instances
of object A. Previously developers were limited to
selecting only a single instance of object A and its
object B collection.

Compress Repository
Share Revisions in Team
Configuration

Team Configuration is a set of tools centered

around a team share repository containing
revisions of an Agentry Project shared by multiple
developers. Standard revision operations including
check-in and update are a part of this functionality.
In this release of Agentry, the Agentry Editor will
now compress the share revision upon check-in.
Note that this is not an optional behavior and any
shares created with a previous version of Agentry
will be compressed when the 6.0 version of the
Agentry Editor is used to check a revision into the
share. From this point on prior versions of the Editor
cannot be used with the share repository.

Close Views Opened by

the Agentry Editor
Perspective When it is
Closed

When the Agentry Editor perspective is opened in

Eclipse, and when certain subsequent operations
are performed by the developer within this
perspective, other views and editors are opened.
Previously these views would remain opened when
the Agentry Perspective was closed. In this release
all of these views will now be closed with the
Agentry Perspective.

Control Transparency of
Detail Screen Fields
Where a Screen
Background Image is
present

On iOS clients (iPhone and iPad) the feature to add

a background image to a detail screen is supported.
In previous release where this functionality was
available, the fields of that screen would
automatically be drawn transparent to allow for the
display of the image. In this release a Field Opacity
setting is now available to allow for the adjustment
of the fields transparency when displayed on the
client.

Agentry
Editor

Disable Team
Configuration When
Share Cannot be Found

When an Agentry application project is opened in

the Agentry Editor that is currently linked to a share
repository, and when that share cannot be found,
team configuration behaviors are disabled for that
project.

AG-8624

Agentry
Editor
Installer

Do Not Allow Editor

Plug-In to be Installed to
Existing Eclipse
Implementation

In previous versions of Agentry, the Agentry Editor

installer would allow the Editor plug-in to be
installed to an existing Eclipse implementation. This
has been found to be problematic as certain
resources within Eclipse are required by the
Agentry Editor plug in, and information concerning
versions of those resources in an existing
implementation is not always readily available.

AG-2978

Agentry Client
(iPad)

Provide Optional Pop Up

Dialog for List Tile View
Detail Screen Fields

When displaying a list tile view field on a detail

screen, objects in a collection are listed within the
list as tiles, one tile per object instance. Selecting
the tile expands it to display additional details. As
an optional behavior added in this release, a
pop-up screen can now be displayed when a single
tile is selected. This tile can be read-only, or display
the edit detail screen from the list tile view field. this
is only supported on iPad clients with this release.
This option will have no affect on the behavior of
other clients.

AG-2886

Agentry Client
(iOS)

Support text size and

color style elements

The Agentry Client for iOS devices did not

previously support style elements from style
definitions. In this release, limited support for styles
has been added. This support is limited to the style
elements related to the text color (foreground
color) and font size. Labels and fields now respect
these settings and will be drawn with the specified
colors and sizes based on the application of a style
to the controls.

SQL Lite Storage Model

and Performance
Enhancements

The Agentry Editor has been modified to now use

SQLite to store application projects. Use of this
method has significantly increased the performance
of the Editor when processing application projects,
especially larger projects containing large numbers
of definitions. This change does not affect the
behavior of the mobile application being deployed
but does significantly increase the efficiency of the
Editor when performing project-relate operations
including loading and importing, as well as other
similar operations.

AG-2159

Agentry
Editor

Allow Dependent
Definitions to be Tagged
in Recursive Tag
Operation

The Agentry Editor allows for definitions to be

tagged manually be the editor. An available
operation for tagging is to recursively tag a
definition and all its descendents. In this release the
ability to optionally choose to tag all dependent
definitions has been added to this operation,
meaning all definitions that reference the one
selected are also tagged.

AG-7068

Agentry Client
(iOS)

Allow for Action to be

Executed With Single
Click of Tile in List Tile
View

The list tile view provides numerous definable

behaviors related to the tiles it lists. Added to these
in this release is the ability to define an action to be
executed when a tile in the list tile view field is
single-clicked, overriding the default behavior of
making that tile simply selected. This functionality
is specific to the iOS platforms and client devices.

AG-7035

Agentry
Editor &
Agentry
Clients

Allow for Text

Justification Options in
Control Displays

The style definition has been modified in this

release to support the definition of the justification
(i.e. horizontal alignment) of the text value of the
control to which the style is applied.

AG-6674

Agentry Client

Allow For List navigation

of List Tile View and List
View fields

The ability to navigate the objects displayed in a list

screen using navigation buttons displayed at the
bottom of a detail screen displaying an object in the
original list is a long standing definable behavior of
Agentry. In this release this functionality has been
extended to support detail screen fields of type List
Tile View and List View.

AG-2573

Agentry
Editor

Support Closing All

Screen Sets on the Client
to Return to the Main
Screen Set, i.e., Provide
a Home Button Support

In this release of Agentry, the Navigation action

step type provides for a new option to support a
home button type of navigational flow. In addition to
the current behavior of closing the current screen
set when this step type is executed, the step can
alternately be defined to close all open screen sets
except for the module main screen set.

Support Pop-Up Menu

Navigation of Screen
Sets Screens

By default, the screens of an object screen set are

displayed as tabs, with each tab representing a
screen. The platform definition has been modified
to allow for the display of a menu button that
displays a pop-up menu with each of the screen
definitions within the screen set listed, removing the
tab controls. The platform controls this behavior for
screens it uses. This behavior is optional and the
default of displaying a tab is still applicable unless
otherwise specified.

AG-6700 &
AG-2574

Agentry Client

Display Buttons in a
Cleaner Manner on
Windows Mobile Clients

With this release, buttons displayed on a screen on

Windows Mobile devices have the built in behaviors
to: Display at 50% of the available size when only
one button is defined, and to left align that button;
do not display empty space when 2 or 3 buttons are
defined, stretching each equally to occupy the
entire horizontal space provided for the buttons.
These behaviors apply only to Windows Mobile
clients and only when the button place is defined to
be at the bottom of the screen.

AG-6684

Agentry Client

Move Collapse Button on

List Tile View to Center

The List Tile View detail screen field type displays a

and expanded. This collapse button has been
moved to the center of the bottom of the tile, and its
icon has been updated to be a up pointing chevron.
