EMC NetWorker Installation, Configuration and Administration

Overview:
This course explores EMC NetWorker installation, configuration, maintenance, management, backup and recovery. The course contains
lectures, review questions and hands-on labs to provide practice in both Windows and Linux environments.

Target Audience:
This course is intended for system administrators, partners, and software support specialists who install, configure and support EMC
NetWorker in Windows and Linux environments.

Objectives:
Install NetWorker and the NetWorker Management Console

Configure cloning and staging

Use NetWorker administrative interfaces to manage the


NetWorker server

Configure and run NetWorker reports

Configure and perform backups and recoveries

Describe how to configure VSS and cluster environments for backup


and recovery

Manage media and devices in NetWorker

Perform a disaster recovery of the NetWorker server

Manage NetWorker databases

Prerequisites:
To understand the content and successfully complete this
course, a student must have a suitable knowledgebase/skill
set. The student must have an understanding of:
Backup and recovery concepts and principles
Windows or Linux system administration
Network administration in a TCP/IP environment
SCSI device configuration, cabling and addressing
Completion of the EMC NetWorker Overview eLearning course
is recommended.
