En la poca de la Santa Inquisicin

muchos fueron los mtodos de

tortura, todos crueles, todos ellos
llenaban de pnico a aquellos que
solo se imaginaban caer en manos del
Santo Oficio. Quizs uno de los
mtodos ms terribles y ms crueles
que se implementaron durante la
Santa Inquisicin. La Cuna de Judas
fue un instrumento de tortura
inventado por el jurista bolos
Ippolito Marsili (1450-1529).
mayor o menor presin dependiendo

At the time of the Holy Inquisition there were

many methods of torture, all cruel, all filled with
panic to those who only imagined falling into the
hands of the Holy Office. Perhaps one of the
most terrible and cruelest methods that were
implemented during the Spanish Inquisition.
The Cradle of Judas was an instrument of
torture invented by the Bolognese jurist Ippolito
Marsili (1450-1529). This instrument was a
pyramid on which stood the victim and then
drop it as many times as necessary so that the
tip bumped into the genital or anal area with
higher or lower pressure depending on how
evolved confession.
This instrument of torture was known not only
as The Cradle of Judas by the name Judas, the
apostle who betrayed Jesus Christ, but was
also known as Watcher, as the condemned was
arranged so that if he fell asleep and relax the
body hurtful fall on the tip of the instrument. In
the twentieth century this instrument underwent
some changes as an addition of electricity, in
some military dictatorships in Latin American
countries.
From The Cradle of Judas there are other more
advanced versions, where the victim was forced
to sit on a wedge of extremely sharp metal,
body weight attached to chains and heavy balls
that bound him to the ankles caused him to
leave the metal sticking up in the body causing
death, usually by exsanguination although in
some cases if the body twisted could even
amputate a limb.

por desangramiento aunque en

algunos casos si el cuerpo se torca
poda incluso amputar una
extremidad.
