Ask students about their favourite breakfast. e.g:students, who like roti
canai for breakfast? . Or students, who like nasi lemak for breakfast?
Ask students to raise their hands to be counted for according to their favourite
breakfast.
Show the pie chart constructed from the data to the students.
Development:

5 minutes

Guide students to calculate data by using calculator to find the angle of a pie
chart
Demonstrate the steps of constructing a pie chart using compass and protactor
Ask students to follow a set of instructions and draw a pie chart individually.
Compare students work and ask them on what do they think about the
outcome.
Highlight them that the same data use in the same steps, and instrument will
produce similar pie chart.
