Building Maintenance Planning
Objectives: Participants generate a plan to help in the maintenance and preservation of
the newly
repaired school building as well the other school facilities in order to:
1.) Extend the life of building components, thus sustaining the buildings value
2.) Keeps facilities functioning as designed and ensure efficiency in operations and
usage.
3.) Sustain a safe and healthy environment by keeping building and their components
in good condition and structurally sound
4.) Provide maintenance options that are cost-effective and prevent minor problems
from escalating into major system and facility failures that mat result in costly
repairs.
The participants discuss strategies for planning and implementing best practices
for maintaining the building and its facilities. Stakeholders will be reminded that
an ounce of preventions is worth more than a pound of cure.
