Each and every child has the potential to be excellent.
I support children to develop to their full potential by believing in them and working
alongside them as a co-constructor of knowledge.
I value a curriculum that places importance on Social and Emotional Learning,
alongside academic learning.
I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own
opinions and nurture their own ideas I will model respect, acceptance and equality.
I will meet all the diverse learning needs of my students, by developing differentiated
lessons that challenge and support each of my students in a safe and empowering
environment.
My lessons will be relevant to life experience, and will be flexible to the ever-
changing needs and dynamics of my class.
I will engage my students by letting them be a part the educational process, letting
them be agents of their own discovery through inquiry based learning, in doing this I
will cultivate a classroom culture that is rich in intrinsic motivation to learn.
I believe in a holistic educational approach, I will meet this by bringing in the natural
world and its wonder to my class, and being a part of the wider community.
I embrace the use of technology and multi media tools in my classroom and will
support my students to build their capacities as 21st Century learners.
In terms of behavior management, I will use positive reinforcement strategies and
democratic classroom principles.
I will collaborate with my teaching community enthusiastically and regularly to
further develop my own professional skill.
It is a privilege to teach, to nurture and to help create responsible, kind, caring,
knowledgeable, and respectful people, who strive to achieve and have successful
healthy futures.
