The state, in partnership with Prince George's Count: is pledging substantial resources forthe selected site location a either Greenbelt or Landover “The state omters a robust funding package that wil fully cover the state (ransportation infrastructure mitigation measures required by the GSA Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for either the Greenbelt or the Landover site at no cost to you. These slate transportation improvements will ‘greatly enhance the ability of both Maryland sites to access highway and transit travel while providing an efficient, interconnected regional transportation sytem forthe new FBI headquarters. he Greenbelt sie is selected: ‘+ The state will commit up to $220 million forall tansportation infrastructure requirements as outlined in the DEIS atthe Greenbelt site, "USERS GALL VIA MB RELAY (©. Specifically, MDOT would expend upto $172 millon forthe site's DEIS transportation infrastructure requirements, sourced from the state's Transportation ‘Trust Fund, It shouldbe noted thatthe $172 million includes $22 million provided by the Maryland General Assembly in the 2017 budget specifically designated for Greenbelt. The General Assembly permits the $22 million to be used for “infastructue improvements tothe Greenbelt Metro Staton site designed to make the site more atractve s a location for the headquarters for the Federal Bureau of Investigation” that may be outside ofthe DEIS requirements (© Inaddition, Maryland will commit o a supplemental $48 million sourced outside the state's Transportation Trust Fund to complete any remaining DEIS transportation infrastructure requirements. This $48 million would be included inthe state budget and would be subject to approval fom the Maryland General Assembly. Ifthe required Greenbelt LEIS component costs have already been fully met, the state is ‘committed to investing the $48 million in qualified site improvements through a grant administrated with the approval of the MDOT Secretary. Conditional upon the approval ofthe MDOT Secretary, a qualified list of potentially eligible site improvements could include roads, interseetion improvement, traffic signals, street lighting, sidewalks, storm water management, transt-elated improvements, and sewer and uilities associated with tensporation improvements, among other items. ‘+ Inaddition to the state support, Prince George's County has committed funding fora structured parking facility to replace 3,700 Washington Metro Area Transit Authority (WMATA) surface parking spaces atthe Greenbelt Metro at an estimated cost of approximately $97 millon ‘Therefore the combined total. site fs up 0 $317 million, (the Landover sites selected: + The state will commit up to $220 million forall transportation infrastructure requirements asoutlined in the DEIS atthe Landover site. ‘and county pledge of support for the Greenbelt (©. We have worked elosely with our partners in Prince George's County andthe Maryland Congressional Delegation to create a comprehensive ‘commitment to make the FBI headquarters consolidation a success.
