    In 2015, the Pontiac PLC executive advised me they were recommending and requesting I be expelled from the board. The ostensible reason: I wrote a letter to the editor calling Scott McDougall on misrepresenting the LPC's views on rights of first refusal, the NCC and Gatineau Park. The LPC position on rights of first refusal is clear: they support it: See the Dion and McGuinty speeches on C-565. McDougall said the LPC didn't support rights of first refusal for the the NCC.; I wrote a letter to the editor explaining the correct policy.... and McDougall's ridiculous letter was the result... Ever wonder why Wills Amos is silent on Gatineau Park? The silly sordid saga blew up in Justin Trudeau's office... BTW: I resigned; I wasn't expelled. QED.

    Re: Your Resignation as a Director of This Association


    On the instruction of the Executive Committee of this Association, I have prepared
    for the Liberal Party of Canada (Quebec) a recommendation and request that LPCQ:
    a) Expel you as a Director of this Association; and/or,
    b) Expel you as a Member of the Liberal Party of Canada and thereby of this
    Association and thereby from your eligibility to be a Director of this
    Association.
    The grounds for that request are elaborated in our detailed submission and exhibits.
    We conclude that you do not qualify for the role of a Director and that your
    expulsion.is essential and urgent.
    The Executive Co m ttee also has instructed me to offer you the opportunity to
    resign before w sub it this request to LPCQ.Therefore, if you prefer to resign and
    thereby not fa e thi expulsion, please submit your resignation by email to me at
    president@p ntia . . al.ca within 48 of hours of your receipt of this letter.
