Geometri Gear

1. Diametral Pitch
Adalah rasio jumlah gigi dengan diameter pitch.
Pd=N/D
Keterangan:
Pd = diametral pitch
N = jumlah gigi
D = diameter pitch
2. Velocity Ratio
VR=wp/wg= np/ng= Rg/Rp =Dg/Dp= Ng/Np
Keterangan:

VR = velocity ratio
= kecepatan sudut (rad/s)
n = kecepatan putar (rpm)
R = jari-jari roda gigi (inch atau mm)
D = diameter roda gigi (inch atau mm)
N = jumlah gigi
p = untuk pinion (Driving Gear)
g = untuk gear (Driven Gear)
3. Module
m=D/N
Keterangan:
m = module (mm)
D = diameter pitch
N = jumlah gigi
4. Center Distance
X=(Dp+Gg)/2
Keterangan:
X = center distance, jarak pusat antar roda gigi
DP = diameter pitch pinion
DG = diameter pitch gear
5. Addendum
a= 1. m

6. Dedendum

Keterangan:
