     Rocket physicist astronautics engineer for
    Nazi Germany.
     Created V2 Rockets for Germany.
     After WWII, decided to help the U.S. and
    its space programs.
    The V2 Rocket
     The V2 was like totally the first man-made
    object to reach sub-orbital space travel.
     Self propelled for 65 seconds, shuts off at
    80km and then follows a free-flying trajectory
     Fuel and oxidizer pumps were steam turbines
     Powered by alcohol and water, which exit the
    burner through 1,224 nozzles
     Used a LEV-3 guidance system, which had 2
    free gyroscopes.
    Greatest Achievement
    The War and The Space
    Race
     Braun’sengineering genius was
    dedicated to WWII weapons and the
    Cold War Space Race.
