Official Summary Record of the Meeting Between Prof. Nur Missuari, Chairman of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) And Haj Murad Ibrahem, Chairman of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) held in Dushanbe on 18"" May 2010 1. Upon a kind invitation from H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, OIC Secretary General, a meeting was held between Prof. Nur Missuari, Chairman of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) and Haj Murad Ibrahem. Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and with the participation of the high officials of the OIC General Secretariat represented by: Ambassador Sayed Kassem El-Masry, Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Peace in South Philippines. - Mr. Talal A. Daous, Director of Muslim Minorities Department, + Mr. Tahir Saif, Director at the Department of Muslim Minorities. 2. The main task of the meeting was to explore ways and means to achieve the Tequest contained in Resolution No. 36/2-MM operative paragraph No. & issued by the 36" CFM Session which urged the two Fronts to unite their efforts and enhance their co- operation and co-ordination to achieve peace and development to the Bangsamoro people. The Secretary General was requested to continue to deploy his good offices to enhance the co-ordination between them For this purpose. the Secretary General has called for 2 meeting to be held on the sidelines of the 37” Session of the CFM in Dushanbe between the Chairmen of the two Fronts. The said meeting was held on 18" May 2010 in Dushanbe with the active participation of the said representatives of the General Secretariat. 3. After extensive exchange of views, the two Chairmen thanked the Secretary General for his efforts and agreed on the following: i) That unity is indispensable to the success of the Bangsamoro struggle and that there are no basic differences between their two Fronts as both are seeking to achieve peace, justice and a fair solution to the problems of the Bangsamoro people ii) They further agreed to co-ordinate their efforts in order to consolidate their movement towards achieving te aspirations of the Bangsamoro people’s just and lasting, peaceful solution to their problems.iii) To achieve this co-ordination, they agreed in principle to establish a mechanism for co-ordination between “he two Fronts, the details of which will be discussed and laid down in a future meeting to be organized by the OIC General Secretariat On his part, the Secretary General has agreed to provide any assistance required to facilitate reaching a successful outcome for this endeavor.
