Expressing time

It is twelve o’clock It is twelve fifteen It is twelve thirty It is twelve forty-five

Exactly or about?
14.00: It is exactly two o’clock/ It is exactly 2 p.m.
14.28: It is about two thirty/It is about 2.30 p.m.
How to ask time

- Excuse me. What time is it - Excuse me. Do you have the - Excuse me. Could you tell
please? time please? me the time please?

- It is exactly eight - It is half past twelve / It is - It is about half past eleven /

o’clock/It’s eight twelve thirty It is about eleven thirty
