    The Faxtector is a lightweight protection unit suitable for the protection of surge sensitive electronic devices such as fax machine
    and digital copiers. It is ideally suited to protect cell extenders connected to unstable and poorly filtered power networks in rural
    areas in Africa.
    It features high energy surge protection and filtration as well as thermal and overload disconnection.
    This means, should your power surge or fall for long periods (e.g. longer than 1sec) above 250 VAC or below 190 VAC the
    Faxtector will shut off the current to protect the cell extender and its power adaptor. It will automatically switch back on after 10
    seconds or once the power network has stabilised. It is also a lightning protector protecting against high surges produces by
    lightning discharging into the power networks overhead lines.
    The thermal protection will protect your cell extender against constant high voltage which causes the plug, the power adaptor and
    the cell extender to get abnormally hot. The Faxtector will shut off if any abnormal heat is being generated and will automatically
    switch back on when the supply has returned to normal.
