Rising Action
When Mr. Utterson reached Dr. Jekyll’s residence, Mr. Utterson
found Dr. Jekyll’s servants frightened. Poole aske mr. Utterson to
follow him to the laboratory.When Poole knocked on the
laboratory door informing his master Mr. Utterson was there to see
him, a voice replied from inside which was recognized by Mr.
Utterson that it is not Dr. Jekyll’s voice.
Climax
Poole informed Mr. Utterson that he caught sight of his master
who, upon seeing him, cried out in shock and fled from him. Poole
declared that the person he sawwas not his master. At the
laboratory door, they listened to the light footsteps of the person
inside, very difficult from the heavy footsteps of Dr. Jekyll.
Falling Action
When Utterson demanded to see Dr. Jekyll, the voice that replied
was Mr. Hyde, so Mr. Utterson commanded Poole to break down
the door with an axe.
Resolution
After the door was broken down, they saw Mr. Hyde lying dead in
the middle of the room.
