About KATY PERRY
• Katy Perry was born in Santa Barbara, California on
October 25th 1984. Her actual name is Katheryn
Elizabeth Hudsen. When she was 15, she began
singing in church, she then went on to recording her
own demos. In 2001, she changed her surname to
Perry (her mothers maiden name) as her name was
too close to the actress Kate Hudsen. Her official
debut album 'one of the boys' was released after
she signed to capitol records. Since this, she has
released many other hit songs in the US and the UK
and this November, has announced her film debut;
The Smurfs as 'Smurfette'. Also she is engaged to
comedian, Russel Brand as he proposed to her on a
holiday in India.
