Further the following guidelines are issued to the Corporations, Municipalities, ‘Town Panchayats and Medical Colleges, ‘Hospitals regarding the purchase and utilisation ‘of Larvicides, Insect ides, Portable'mini Thermal Fogging Machines etc. « 1. Sample ‘esting : The Larvicides, insecticides purchased by the Corpotationia, Municipalities, Town Panchayats and Medical Colleges before utilising in the field sample to be sent for chemical testing to the designated laboratories and field testing to the concemed Senior Entomologist, Zonal Lntomological Teams. After receipt of the results only (as per epecification) the materials to bbe used and payment should be made. The cost of chemical testing and field testing should te borne by the company concemed. ‘The Deputy Director of Healthy Servicas. District Malaria Officer/District Entomologist, Municipal Health Officers. Corporation Health Officers will concur the purchase of the suitable larvicide, insecticide and fogging machines. 2. Less than stx months expiry product should not be purchased, 3. The quantity of larvicide or insecticide required tor six month period only to be purchased and stored. 4. Regular monitoring of resistance to the larvicide and insecticide and toxicity to the human are to be done by Senior Entomologist, Zonal Entomological Team, District Malaria Officer District Entomologist concerned. 5. ‘Lhe togging machines to be purchased by the Municipality, ‘own Panchayats.
