As part of our effort to recruit the best and brightest students, and to target them with relevant
material, we are planning to develop a strategy on how to get people interested in our school.
Internet Marketing being an emerging area, we feel that we can effectively use the digital
medium to create awareness and buzz for the school.
As the first step, we are doing a competitive analysis of schools and colleges to understand their
activities and effectiveness.
Activities:
1. Select one prominent University / College (national / international) like: Amity, IIPM,
IILM, Apeejay, WLC, University of Hertfordshire, Greenwich University, INTO,
Manipal University, Sharda University etc.
2. Select parameters like web presence, functionality available, social media presence,
search engine effectiveness, content, content relevance etc, and rate/ evaluate the
universities
You are required to gather data through Internet Research, Social Networking, Search Engine,
Intermediate Websites, Chatting / Skype/ Call, Articles / Blogs, Media Scanning, etc. You can
validate your analysis and conclusions
Deliverable :
1. Analyse the data and make a report of approximately 10 pages. The report should be
between 2500-3000 words, and should include recommendations
2. Power point presentation (using graphs, pictorial representation, MS excel etc.). Should
not exceed 10 minutes.
