teacher.
3. Go shopping with your parents. Carefully observe the things you are buying. Keep writing their prices and
calculate the total at the end. Then see, whether the bill made by you tallies with the one made by the
shopkeeper.

Flavoured milk to be supplied to municipal schools in Mumbai

STUDENTS OF city ‘s civic schools will finally get a taste of flavoured milk that was promised to them with
the standing committee of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) approving the proposal
on Wednesday.
The students are to be supplied the milk in 200 ml packs twice a week.
The proposal, which was to be implemented from this academic year hit a roadblock over the pricing of the
milk, but the MCGM has finally approved the plan at the price suggested by the milk suppliers.
The Rashtriya Mazdoor Madhyawarti Sahakari Grahak Sangh has been appointed by the MCGM to supply
the packs of milk to its 4.5 lakh students.
The organization had informed that it will obtain the milk from a diary in Harayana, which it will then
transport to the city.
Earlier, while presenting the budget for the year, MCGM commissioner Jairaj Phatak had said the
supplying of the milk would help provide nutrition to the children as well as help stem the drop out rate in
their schools

¾ Visit a local NGO / agency such as the United Nations, Red Cross/ Voluntary Youth Organizations like Nehru
