• Affirmative form:
S + have / has + been + Ving
e.g. I have been taking driving lessons for a month.
• Negative form:
S + have/has not (haven’t/ hasn’t) + been +
Ving
e.g. I haven’t been taking driving lessons for a month.
• Interrogative form:
Have / Has + S + been + Ving ?
e.g. How long have you been taking driving lessons?

Present Perfect Continuous - Use
• Pentru a accentua continuitatea unei acţiuni pentru o
perioadă lungă de timp până în momentul vorbirii (it
emphasizes the duration, the continuity of the action
in the present ):
e.g. Mary has been watering the flowers for half an hour.
