IG Markets

Europe (excluding the UK) delivered strong growth of 57.2%.

All of the offices contributed to this growth, with the strongest

growth seen in Germany. (IG group annual report 2010)

Our main European businesses

in Germany, Italy, France and Spain were established between

two-and-a-half and four years ago, and all of these markets

are therefore at a very early stage and still growing rapidly.

Germany is the most established of these markets and

achieved the highest growth rate this year.

Germany and Scandinavia

In the last quarter of the year the business relocated its main

German operations from Frankfurt to Hamburg and has

developed a new strategy and investment programme to

coincide with the launch of the next generation CFD platform.

Scandinavia is already making strong contributions to the wider

European region and has signifi cant potential for the future in

both retail and partners.
