COMMUNITY GARDENS IN THE PARKS

PETITION

Creating a Community Garden in the Chicago Park District is a long-term responsibility which will
require community awareness and support. Residents of Chicago who would like to develop a
Community Garden in their neighborhood park must discuss this with their neighbors by circulating
this petition.

Please be informed that…

ƒ Only one signature per household is accepted.
ƒ Only signatures from those that reside near the park of interest will be accepted.
ƒ Members of the Garden Group are not permitted to sign.
ƒ A minimum of 15 signatures are required on the petition. There must be a letter of explanation
attached if there are less than 15 signatures.
ƒ Be sure that all required documents are completely & accurately filled out to avoid a delay in
processing. If necessary, we will require your documents be resubmitted.

All completed documents of your Written Proposal Packet, as outlined in the Manual, Step 4, should
