Announces the registration of Nutritionists /Dietitians for the first time in Pakistan
You are eligible to apply for the examination if you are:
Regular PNDS members.
MSc (Nutrition) / MSc (Home Economics with specialization in
Foods & Nutrition).
Note: Criteria for eligibility may be relaxed if a person has extra
ordinary work experience in the field of Foods & Nutrition. Such cases will be decided by the PANAP committee.
Work experience required:
Registered Dietitians: At least 6 months in a clinical setting.
Public Health Nutritionists: At least 6 months in a public health
setting or teaching foods & nutrition in a post secondary teaching institute.
Those who fulfill the above criteria and pass the
entrance examination with at least 50% score on overall test and obtain at least 30% score with in each category will be eligible to become PNDS accredited Dietitians/Nutritionists. Details of Content of Examination

Last date for application: 30th June 2010.
List of eligible applicants for the examination will be announced by 5 th of July 2010. Eligible applicants will be provided with sample MCQ’s as well as a list of resources to enable them to prepare for the test.
Date for the Examination: 31 July 2010
Venue: RLAK College of Home Economics
Time: 10 am-11.30 am
Fee for the test: Rs.1000.
Results will be emailed to individual candidates within one month of the exam date.
Next Examination: Will be held in December 2010 and thereafter every
six months. Those who do not clear the exam in the first attempt will be eligible to take the next exam whenever it is held.
Fee for the registration: Free for first two years.
Registration needs to be renewed every two years. Renewal of
registration will be contingent on meeting of the Continuing Nutrition/Professional Development criteria of 15 credit hours per 2 years.
