In order to get feedback about our documentary, we asked three target audiences what they thought

about our documentary. We took a video of each person at a time and let them answer the questions
alone.

The first question asks, In what ways does the documentary reflects generic conventions? We
received a positive feedback saying the ways in which we have used the cutaways makes our
production look professional. This shows that we have thought about the cutaways that would be
suitable for our documentary topic. Also shows that we chose the right cutaways and placed them in
the right place in the documentary because the replies connotes that they enjoyed watching as it
kept them entertained because the cutaways was relevant to the topic of our documentary. We also
got another positive feedback about the use of the production logo at the top left corner shows we
have followed the codes and conventions of a real media product as it adapts what BBC and
Channel 4 does at all times in their documentaries.

We asked our audiences which idea they liked in our documentary and why. We asked this
questions to be on the safe side as to whether we have done something good enough for our
documentary. We got reply such as the choices of our interviews was really relevant to our
documentary because they answered the questions correctly and gave out the information from their
prospective and also gave out their opinion as to whether they agree to the questions or not. Another
feedback we received was the fact that we balanced out the for and against argument in the
documentary. This shows that the argument was clear enough for viewers to understand the rights
and wrong of young people receiving contraception and they also learnt new things from wide
range of interviews. This is because we included different people from different backgrounds and
beliefs.

Finally we also asked the weaknesses of our documentary. The main weakness we received was the
phone interview because it wasn't exciting enough to watch and because they could not really
connect with it as much as the other interviews.
From the audience feedback it shows that we have covered the codes and conventions of a real
media product but however there was some criticism. This would enable us to know how to make
our product better and less criticized in the future.
