Personal Biography (one paragraph in third person):

Please write a one-paragraph biography about yourself focused on your professional

background. This biography is very important since it serves as the first impression to
our Host organizations. It should focus on your professional accomplishments and
acquired skills. See the biographies of current Fellows on our site for examples.

Essay Questions (answer all):

*1. Why do you want to be an Atlas Corps Fellow? What do you hope to learn from the
fellowship?

*2. About which causes/social issue are you passionate about?

*3. Why are you interested in traveling abroad and volunteering for a year at a nonprofit
organization in the U.S.? How will this experience impact the next steps in your career?

*4. How have your past experiences prepared you for this fellowship? Please describe
both a major success and a failure in your career. Be candid and specific about how you
dealt with both situations.

*5. What are your expectations? What is your plan for when you return home? Please be
specific.

*6. Have you ever created or established a social, civic group or association? If so, where
and when? Please provide a brief description.

*7. Being an Atlas Corps Fellow often requires an adventurous and independent spirit
and Fellows must demonstrate an ability/willingness to take risks and adapt to new
situations. Describe a past experience(s) which reflects these abilities.
