In the book Heart of A Champion, friendship is the theme because the main

characters show friendship no matter where they are. Seth and Jimmy are the

main characters and they are like brothers, they get in arguments but the next

day they make up and apologize. When Seth and Jimmy were at the baseball field

practicing, they got into a fight because Jimmy was mad and almost hit Seth with

the ball. The next day they apologized to each other and said they would never do

it again. Jimmy and Seth’s sophomore year in high school, Jimmy made the varsity

team and Seth didn’t, but after Seth got done after practice he would go watch

Jimmy practice.

If I could change places with a character it would be probably be Seth because he

doesn’t do bad things like Jimmy. I wouldn’t want to be Jimmy because he always

asks his friends to go drink with him after baseball games. He gets caught

sometimes to and gets suspended from baseball games. Jimmy also has an

attitude to his dad and to Seth sometimes. Seth never gets in trouble at school or

at home he is very smart and athletic and doesn’t drink. Seth has good grades he

is a straight A student and is in all honors classes.

Seth is like my brother because they both get good grades and they are both good

at baseball. They both only play baseball and that is their main sport that they

would never give up. Seth has better grades but my brother tries he is also in

honors classes. Seth and Tyler both played second base and were good at it they

would make good plays and hustle all the time. Seth batted second and my

brother did to sometimes or he would bat higher in the order if he was in a slump.
