    Use transition strategies that ensure children are actively engaged in


    the transition.

    Explicitly teach children the steps and expectations of transitions.

    Give direct notices to individual children who may have difficulty


    prior to transitions.

    Provide positive, descriptive feedback to children who engage in the


    transition appropriately.
