Director of Human Resources / Recruitment Leader
HR Business Partner for largest segment of Electrolux North America, Major Appliances. Immediately upon
arrival, engaged in consolidation efforts for corporate headquarter move to North Carolina.
• Decreased traditional search fees 30% by designing, implementing and managing a RPO (recruiting
process outsourcing) to address burst capacity hiring needs to support corporate move. New model
resulted in decreasing traditional search fees by 30%.
• Reduced time to hire from 90+ to 45 days, which resulted in shortening overlapped training, by co-
designing policy and leading implementation.
• Created and taught re-employment strategies for displaced employees.

CIRCUIT CITY CORPORATION, Richmond, VA 2007-2009


Director of Staffing
Recruited to re-design all staffing functions to support 33K employee base for multi-channel retailer.
Strategically re-aligned department of 20+ employees in support of business needs. Incorporated RPO to address
seasonal spikes and assist with all positions up through Manager level. Later engaged to support store level
hiring. Annual budget responsibilities of over $10 million.
• Assessed, then redesigned staffing model. Identified, then incorporated an RPO to hire all positions up
through Manager level. Reduced time to fill by 30+ days.
• Exceeded target to reduce outside search fees 20% by bringing in-house Director and above searches.
Directly responsible for CEO and Board facing positions as well as all level roles as needed.
• Increased NOWC (net operating working capital) $5 million by championing and executing effort to
outsource relocation.
• Created staffing pipeline by developing college relations program. Initial focus in Finance.
• Improved employee retention and acquisition by creating a brand and value proposition and slowed

MWV (MeadWestvaco) CORPORATION, Richmond, VA 1995 – 2007
Director of Global Talent Acquisition 2002- 2007
After the merger of two giant global paper and packaging company’s, Mead and Westvaco in 2002, I joined the
organization relocating to Richmond Virginia. I was promoted to build a centralized global staffing model.
Designed the guidelines and process, developed, then hired team, identified technology and established metrics
to support initial staffing in North America. Expanded the model to support Europe, South America and Asia.
Managed and mentored a team of 25 including virtual members in the US and Europe and a budget of $15
million.
• Successfully hired 1500 employees over 18 months with average time to fill of 60 +/- days.
• Reduced external search fees in excess of $2 million in first year, exceeding forecast.
• Responsible for entire RPO process from engagement through metrics and project management.
• Responsible for direct recruiting, confidential and executive searches as well as in-line positions.
• Negotiated and designed an internal/external career site at $500K less than IT proposed solution.

Manager of Staffing & College Relations 2002 – 2002


Led staffing efforts for new corporation, following the merger of Mead and Westvaco. Responsibilities
included the design and development of technology for Staffing, the college relations program and internal /
external recruitment process. Redesigned decentralized processes and technologies into common platforms for
newly merged corporation. Initially recruited for in-line positions up through Manager.

Director of Human Resources, Sidney, NY 1995 - 2002


• Led all administrative company recruitment, strategies and methodologies for Sidney location including
budgeting, planning, interviewing, selection, relocation, and orientation. Participated in compensation
design and administration, policy formation, collective bargaining, and benefit planning. Facilitated and
participated in needs assessments. Recommended and implemented new policies and programs in
support of organizational change. Partnered with Management on coaching and mentoring. Provided
training in the areas of interpersonal communication, leadership development, strategic planning, and
team development.
• Successfully partnered with Senior Management in designing HR requirements for 7 acquisitions and 2
divestures.

Financial, Legal and Compliance areas. I personally recruited in the insurance and financial markets. Clients
included many of the Fortune 500. Responsible for client development and recruitment. Worked internationally
