Dear Russell,

I am writing to enquire about a job vacancy or placement at your design studio.

My name is Rikki Arnold and I am currently a student, but I will be graduating this academic year so I am
interested to be apart of your team. I have studied design for about five years; I firstly studied a BTEC National
Diploma in Graphic Design Digital Media at the Colchester Institute. From this course I achieved a Triple
Distinction that is worth 3 A-levels. From this I went onto the degree at the Institute, that being BA (HONS)
Graphic Media.

As I have been doing design since 2003 as a hobby, I am quite sufficient in programs like Adobe Creative Suite;
Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. During this time I have been on both PC and MAC operating systems, so I
have no problems on either platform. I have had a small amount of experience of design jobs, from gig posters;
posters/leaflets for tent shows, logos, leaver booklets, website flat design and other small jobs. The rest of my
experience is from my studies. Since 2006 I have worked at Blacks – The Outdoor Experts, where I have learnt
how to speak to customers and go out my way for their needs. Being at Blacks has showed me that teamwork
is important and that working together is a key element for a workplace.

I feel as a creative, that even the simplest idea can become something new and exciting and being apart of that
idea, no matter what level or input I have towards it, really fuels my creativity. So I hope you give your time to
