The water supply to your house was cut without notice for four hours yesterday and the day
before. Your mother has asked you to call up the Customer Services Department of the
Water Supply Company. However, no one answered your calls. You decided to write a
complaint letter instead.

Below are some notes you have made:


5/9/2008 ± water cut from 2:15 to 6:40 p.m.
6/9/2008 ± water cut from 7:30 to 11:00 a.m.
7/9/2008 ± tried calling ten times between 3 to 4 p.m.

Using the notes above, write your letter to the Customer Services Department of the Water
Supply Company. You must mention and elaborate on each of the points.
Include any other relevant information.

Dear Sir,

  


Water supply to my house was interrupted for two days on 5/9/2008 and 6/9/2008. No prior
warning was given. We had no water from 2:15 p.m. to 6:40 p.m. The next day, the water
cut was from 7:30 a.m. to 11: a.m.

2. These cuts greatly inconvenienced us. With no notice given, we did not stock up on
water. Kindly investigate and take the necessary steps to prevent more interruptions from
happening.

3. To make the situation worse, I tried to telephone your department at 088-976123, to


inform you about the water cuts and to seek an explanation. I made ten calls, but none of
them was answered. It wasn¶t anyone working in the office, when I called between 3:00
p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 8/9/2008.

4. Both the water cuts and the unanswered telephone calls give a bad impression of
your company. I hope you will look into this matter and improve your services to your
customers.
