    “…..it will be in the interest of TELENGANA if, for the present the Telangana area is
    constituted into a SEPARATE STATE.”

    STATES REORGANISATION COMMISSION, 1956

    The SRC, 1956 endorse the Telangana people’s fears of exploitation by the andhra’s
    and recommended the Telangana remain a separate state, yet through political
    manipulation Telangana was merged with Andhra to form “Andhra Pradesh” against
    the wishes of the people of Telangana.
