    As you are aware, recent events have led to the arrest of Sh Suresh Kalmadi,
    former Chairman, Organising Committee Commonwealth Garnes, Delhi 2010 and
    currently President, Indian Olympic Association (lOA) on charges of conspiracy,
    cheating and theft.

    In keeping with and maintamrng the fair image of sports in India, the
    Government would like the lOA to consider appointing an alternate President in place
    of the present incumbent for managing the affairs of the lOA.

    The Government may be kept informed of the action taken.
