Website Address : www.imu.tn.nic.in School of Legal Studies COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET-LL.M) 2011 The School of Legal Studies, Indian Maritime University (IMU) will conduct the Common Entrance Test (CET-LLM) on June 19, 2011 at Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune. IMU-CET (LLM) is a prerequisite for admission to the LLM Program in Maritime Law that will be offered at the Chennai and Cochin campuses from the August 2011 session. The LL.M is a two year Masters program in Maritime Law that aims to provide a thorough grounding in all aspects of International Maritime Law. The curriculum includes specialized courses in Shipping Law and the Law of the Sea. The program aims to equip lawyers with the knowledge and skills required to make a valuable contribution to the International Shipping Industry. IMU has signed an MoU with the National Law Schoo! of India University, Bangalore and offers a seminar course on the Law of the Sea there. IMU-CET (LL.M) Eligibility The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA{50% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories} awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. Candidates appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree /equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting fesults can also apply. Prospective candidates must maintain a valid email account throughout the selection process.
