PGPD Promotes a Safe “Cinco de Mayo” Holiday

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department is

working to ensure that residents and visitors are safe as they travel throughout the County by
reminding pedestrians and drivers to remain safe during the Cinco de Mayo holiday.
The Police Department encourages you to celebrate responsibly by designating a sober
driver and by calling 911 if you observe an impaired driver. Also, of the utmost importance, is
pedestrian safety. As a reminder, pedestrians are encouraged to travel in pairs, to utilize
sidewalks and crosswalks at available intersections, and to wear bright colored or reflective
clothing when walking during low light hours of the day.
The Prince George’s County Police Department encourages everyone to take the
necessary and proper safety precautions to make this Cinco de Mayo Holiday the safest ever!
