The transfer characteristic of the diode: current vs. voltage:

We see the break down region at about -80V.

In the datasheet we read:

Continuous reverse voltage: max. 75 V
Repetitive peak reverse voltage: max. 100 V

Reverse recovery time:

Definition
When switching from the conducting to the blocking state, a diode or rectifier has stored charge
that must first be discharged before the diode blocks reverse current. This discharge takes a
finite amount of time known as the Reverse Recovery Time, or t rr. During this time, diode
current may flow in the reverse direction.

In the data sheet we read:

trr = max 4 ns
(reverse recovery time when switched from IF = 10 mA to IR = 60 mA; RL = 100 W; measured at IR = 1
mA)

the circuit used:

using the cursors we

read:

x1=2.5024m

x2=2.5000m
=>trr=x1-x2=2.4ns

Forward current vs. forward voltage:

The graphic shows the dependency of the forward voltage and the forward current on
temperature. The traces correspond from left to right to the following temperatures: 125, 75,
25, 0 and -25 degrees Celsius.

If we place the cursor at 625mV, we obtain the following values for the currents:

I1=46.4771mA

I2=19.0471mA

I3=5.1186mA

I4=2.0982mA

I5=0.6951mA

These values differ a little from the datasheet, where we can read on the graphic the
next approximate values:

25mA for 125 deg. Celsius

10mA for 75 deg. Celsius

2mA for 25 deg. Celsius

0.1mA for -25 deg. Celsius

Transient analysis:

This circuit is a positive alternance

rectifier; we see that on the positive alternance
of the signal, the diode is on, having the
behavior of the voltage drop model (Vout=Vin-
0,6V); on the negative alternace the diode is off,
behaving like an open circuit.
In the temperature sweep analysis, we see the dependency of the diode behavior on the
temperature.

The graphic shows 5 traces, each corresponding to the temperatures 0, 50, 100, 150 and 200
degrees Celsius. The yellow traces corresponds to 200 degrees Celsius.
