Mrs. Crofts’ Classroom Newsletter
Our end-of-year field trip to Happy Hollow
is next week Tuesday, June 7. This is an
extended day for the Jr. K. We will not return
until 3 PM.If you have not yet
paid or turned in your
permission form please do so
no later than Thursday, June 2.
This week we will be practicing with the rest of
the school for the Ascension service
that will take place on Thursday, June 2 at
7 PM. Please have your child in the classroom
on Thursday evening by 6:44 PM. We will
be sitting together as a class in church, so after
you have brought them to our room you may
proceed to the church. After the service you
will pick up your child in our classroom. Please
provide a written excuse by tomorrow,
Wednesday, June 1, if your child will not be
able to attend.
We’ve begun tracking how many pockets we are
wearing each day. Tomorrow,
Wednesday, June 1, is “Who
Can Wear the Most Pockets Upcoming Events
Day.” Last year the student with the most had May 31: Reading Bookmarks Due
29! I think his Grandma got creative and added a
few pockets to his outfit that day.

Zoo-Phonics News
Does your child have a favorite book he/she would
like read in class? Or would you like to come in
and read a story to us? Send (or bring) it in and
we’ll take turns reading books of your child’s
choosing.
Completed reading book marks
for the month of May should be sent in this
week so your child can claim a prize from
our treasure chest.
Other Classroom News
When we are not practicing for the Ascension
service this week, we will use our Bible lesson
time to review the Bible lessons we’ve covered
this year with a game.
Last week in we did interesting science
experiments testing the strength of eggshells. We
were surprised to learn that four half shells were
able to hold the weight of 36 coloring books! We
also explored items that float or sink. Learning
about the world around us is such fun, and we’ll
do more great experiments this week!
